About the Role:

Ridge & Partners LLP is seeking a highly skilled Retrofit Coordinator to join our team. As a Retrofit Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in delivering domestic and non-domestic retrofit services to our clients, helping them achieve their net zero carbon strategies for their existing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the retrofit process from start to finish, working closely with our in-house or external retrofit assessors and designers, and the installer/contractor.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage technical and process risks commonly associated with domestic retrofit projects.
  • Integration and Communication: Ensure seamless integration and communication between teams, including our Property Consultants, Project Managers, Building Surveyors, Services and Sustainability Engineers.
  • Specialist Roles: Where competent, the Coordinator may also fulfill other specialist roles in the retrofit process, including providing retrofit support and advice on Non-Domestic Retrofit to PAS 2038:2019.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Client Awareness and Staff Development: Raise client awareness and staff development on retrofit best practices and energy efficiency measures.
    • Stock Assessment: Conduct thorough stock assessments to identify retrofit opportunities and develop strategies for individual properties and whole property portfolios.
    • Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency performance, reduce carbon emissions, and reduce fuel bills.
    • Retrofit Support: Provide support to other members of the team working on other agendas, such as fire safety, viability, or sustainability projects.
    • Delivery of Support Services: Deliver support services, including tenant energy advice, building energy physics calculations, thermography, and airtightness tests.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience of retrofit coordination under SHDF schemes.
  • Qualifications: Preferably, but not essential, a construction qualification, e.g., surveying.
  • Consultancy Experience: Consultancy experience and/or a background in Public Sector Housing.
  • Software Skills: Experience of using Energy Efficiency modeling software.
  • Analytical Skills: An analytical mind with a high level of intellect, combining excellent written and oral skills.
