About the Role:

  • To spearhead the growth and development of retrofit services.
  • Be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality retrofit projects, conducting detailed building surveys, and providing expert advice to clients on energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance.
  • This will involve leading a team, developing business opportunities, and ensuring that all projects meet regulatory and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage retrofit projects from inception to completion.
  • Building Surveys: Conduct detailed building surveys to identify retrofit opportunities and provide expert advice on energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Client Consultation: Provide expert advice to clients on retrofit solutions, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of surveyors and project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the retrofit sector, developing and implementing strategies to grow the retrofit service line and expand the client base.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and cost estimates for retrofit projects, ensuring all documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and retrofit strategies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, MS Project).
