Clinical Lead for Endoscopy Services

The Clinical Lead for Endoscopy plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality endoscopy services across various sites and contracts. Reporting to the Medical Director, this individual will work closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Nursing to advocate for the company and provide subject matter expertise in endoscopy-related matters.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Lead will provide leadership to Consultants within the endoscopy specialty, ensuring that clinical standards and care provision are maintained at the highest level. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a clinical lead and subject matter expert across endoscopy insourced services, providing advice and input to operational planning of new contracts.
- Promoting and advocating for the company within clinical networks and wider, to maximize opportunities for business development and engagement with existing and potential customers, partners, and clinicians.
- Supporting the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in the management of Clinical Teams, including conduct reviews, incident investigation, disciplinary hearings, and other Clinical Governance processes.
- Supporting ongoing excellence in care delivery by leading on audits, review of KPIs, and ongoing maintenance of clinical standards and care delivery.
The Medical and Diagnostic Care Group provides insourced clinical services to NHS Trusts nationwide, supporting reductions in patient waiting lists and elective recovery strategies. We deliver patient-focused, high-quality insourced care, working alongside NHS partners to see patients sooner. Our clinicians are supported by dedicated coordination teams, ensuring the needs of the Trusts and patients are met alongside the needs of the clinicians who deliver care on our behalf.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Endoscopy Consultant experience with at least 2 years post-CCT.
- Exceptional clinical standards and JAG KPIs, with credibility among peers as a lead clinical for the specialty.
- Experience of complaint management and governance.
- Experience of networking and business development.
