About the Role
The Clinical Lead for Endoscopy Services will report to the Medical Director and work closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Nursing as a subject matter expert in all matters related to the provision of insourced endoscopy services.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to consultants within the specialty, ensuring high standards of care are delivered at all times.
- Support recruitment functions through networking and advocacy on behalf of the company, and be responsible for interview and approval of all doctor-grade clinicians across the specialty.
- Set and periodically review clinical standards for the specialty, including minimum competency standards, log book data requirements, and specialty-specific updates and CPD requirements.
- Support the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in management of clinical teams, including conduct reviews, incident investigation, disciplinary hearings, and other clinical governance processes.
- Support business development functions by identifying and engaging opportunities within networks and wider, and by supporting and advising contract discussions and meetings to develop and implement effective clinical contract delivery structures.
- Support ongoing excellence in care delivery by leading on audits, review of KPIs, and ongoing maintenance of clinical standards and care delivery.
Requirements
- Endoscopy consultant with at least 2 years' experience post-CCT.
- Exceptional clinical standards and JAG KPIs, to act as lead clinician for the specialty with credibility among peers.
- Experience of complaint management and governance.
- Experience of networking and business development.
