Lead Special Educational Needs Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Lead Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) for a full-time role within a mainstream primary educational institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to enhance the educational experience for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Conduct appropriate assessments for students identified as requiring additional support.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans as necessary.
- Maintain and monitor the SEN register to ensure accurate records of student needs.
- Analyze data related to SEN and high-achieving cohorts to inform practice.
- Oversee the Inclusion action plan and contribute to its evaluation and improvement.
Position Details:
This role will commence on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate following the initial period. The remuneration for this position ranges from £190 to £290 per day, commensurate with experience.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience as a SENCO, preferably within a primary educational setting.
- A strong commitment to supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

To be considered for this position, candidates must be eligible to work in the UK or hold a relevant work visa. We prioritize safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people in education. An Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
