Position: Special Needs Educator


Tempest Resourcing Limited is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Special Needs Educator to become a vital member of our educational team within a comprehensive SEN institution focused on supporting students with autism and moderate learning challenges.

Role Overview:

This role is essential in fostering both the academic and personal development of our students.

As a Special Needs Educator, you will be instrumental in implementing high-quality, personalized educational strategies designed to address the unique requirements of our learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and evaluate engaging lessons that accommodate the specific needs of students with complex special educational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the SEN Coordinator and other professionals to create and manage individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Establish a secure, nurturing, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages all students to excel.
  • Utilize diverse teaching techniques and resources to captivate students and enhance their learning experience.
  • Continuously monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to learners, guardians, and colleagues.
  • Work in partnership with teaching assistants, therapists, and additional support personnel to ensure comprehensive care and education for students.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and caregivers, ensuring effective communication and support.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with students with complex special educational needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of special educational needs teaching methodologies and interventions.
  • Exemplary patience, empathy, and a sincere commitment to supporting children with special educational needs.
