Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutors to provide personalized educational support through tailored tutoring sessions on a one-to-one basis for students who are currently not enrolled in a school.


As a SEN Tutor, your role will involve designing, planning, and implementing individualized lesson plans aimed at addressing educational gaps and enhancing student engagement and achievement.

Many of these students may have experienced prolonged periods away from formal education, which can result in diminished confidence levels.

Prospero Teaching will collaborate closely with you to track each student's progress and facilitate effective learning outcomes.


Position Overview:
Location - Community settings or students' residences

Role - One-to-One SEN Tutor

Employment Type - Contractual

Contract Duration - Until the student is ready to transition back into a mainstream educational setting

Contract Type - Temporary

Compensation - Starting at £22+ per hour

Working Hours - Flexible, based on the family's availability


Qualifications and Experience Required:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Relevant teaching experience within the UK classroom environment
- Creative, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs or those who are disengaged from learning


Eligibility Criteria:

- Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
- Provide two professional references related to child care.
