This role is primarily focused on enhancing the educational outcomes for students in vulnerable demographics, particularly those with Special Educational Needs.

We seek a proficient educator with a background in managing SEN provisions, who demonstrates outstanding interpersonal abilities, and possesses the capacity to lead, motivate, and inspire fellow educators. A passion for elevating educational standards and improving life opportunities for all students is essential. The ideal candidate will hold the National SENCO qualification.

The successful applicant will collaborate closely with teaching staff and teaching assistants to maximize the educational achievements of students in vulnerable groups throughout the institution. Responsibilities will include overseeing the enhancement of standards in SEN provisions, contributing to strategic planning, and playing a key role in the School Development Plan and School Self Evaluation Form.

Key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading the school’s provision mapping
  • Developing comprehensive profiles of student needs
  • Assisting in data analysis
  • Managing Teaching Assistants
  • Overseeing performance management initiatives
  • Facilitating Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Engaging with families
  • Coaching and mentoring staff
  • Team teaching and additional responsibilities as required
