Key Responsibilities:

This role encompasses a comprehensive and progressive set of responsibilities, requiring a dynamic approach to training and a strong commitment to the development of each student within Echelon Air's distinctive framework.

  • Training Plan Development: Customize training plans for students from novice to advanced certifications.
  • Licensing Support: Assist students in obtaining their Private Pilot License (PPL) and higher.
  • Instrument Training: Guide students towards achieving instrument ratings using advanced equipment.
  • Aircraft Ownership Advice: Provide guidance on high-performance aircraft ownership.
  • Turbine Aircraft Transition: Mentor students making the switch from piston to turbine aircraft.
  • Ongoing Support: Offer continuous professional development and assistance.
  • European Flight Experience: Lead students on training flights throughout Europe.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Current UK CAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
  • Valid instrument rating.
  • Unrestricted Flight Instructor Rating with Instrument Rating.
  • At least 500 hours of flight instruction experience.
  • Valid Class 1 medical certificate.
  • ICAO LEVEL 5 proficiency in English.
  • Eligibility to work and reside in the UK.
  • Ability to obtain a Basic Disclosure certificate via DBS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1000 hours of total flight time.
  • Experience in leading a flight training organization.
  • Valid Single Engine Piston (SEP) Class rating.
  • Over 3 years of flight instruction experience.
  • Previous experience with Cirrus SR20/SR22 aircraft.
  • FAA CPL/ATP and Certified Flight Instructor qualification.
  • Proficiency in a foreign language.
