Job Description

JMC Aviation is seeking a skilled NDT Technician to join their team at their facility in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing and inspection of aircraft components to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Use integrated quality management systems to maintain and improve the quality of testing and inspection processes.
  • Develop and maintain technique method sheets for the testing of components.
  • Apply company and industry statutory operational specifications for the evaluation of landing gear components, flap tracks, and carriages.
  • Test and verify the condition of a diverse range of components passing through the NDT area.
  • Maintain the practical experience record (PER) book.
  • Attend internal and external training courses to maintain and develop certification.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment in the area as required to operate legally.
  • Monitor operating methods to facilitate qualitative and qualitative improvements in the service provided to the customer.

Requirements:

  • Aerospace apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • NDT theory and practice, including Eddy Current L2, Magnetic Particle Inspection L2, Liquid (Dye) Penetrant L2, and Ultrasonic Testing L2.
  • Experience working to EASA 145 requirements.
  • Component inspection experience.
  • Good IT user knowledge, including SAP or similar business software, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of EASA/CAA/FAA requirements and other applicable aviation regulations.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety working practices.
  • Able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
