About the Role

The University of Oxford's Centre for the Study of the Book is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to support the planning, logistics, and reporting of a dynamic programme of academic engagement with Bodleian Special Collections.

As a key member of the Centre's team, you will be responsible for coordinating events, managing budgets, and scheduling communications with stakeholders. Your excellent communication and administrative skills will enable you to develop and support a programme that connects with existing users and reaches out to new users of Bodleian Special Collections.

You will work closely with the Centre's coordinator to plan and deliver a range of events, including teaching, seminars, and conferences. Your ability to work collaboratively within and across institutions will be essential in achieving the Centre's goals.

About You

We are looking for someone with a passion for historical collections and a strong understanding of the work of museums and libraries. You must be an excellent communicator, comfortable with using visual and social media to disseminate the work of the Centre and the Department.

You will have good numerical and financial skills, as well as the ability to learn the University's online accounting system. Your enthusiasm for the role and your ability to work independently will be essential in ensuring the success of the programme.
