Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Director of Financial Operations who excels in communication and is skilled at engaging with mid- and senior-level management across various departments. This role will be based at our central office and will involve overseeing a team of management accountants.

The Director will play a pivotal role in steering the financial strategy of the organization, ensuring its long-term fiscal health and success. You will report directly to the executive leadership and will be accountable for all financial activities, including accounting, reporting, process enhancements, audit preparations, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Financial Operations will collaborate closely with executive leadership to define and achieve organizational goals while ensuring the company's financial stability. You will provide timely insights and guidance on financial strategies that align with the company's objectives. Your role will also involve:

  • Developing and implementing the annual business plan through strategic budgeting.
  • Staying informed on industry trends and best practices to maximize productivity.
  • Leading by example to promote our organizational culture and standards.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, typically following a Monday to Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated success as a Director of Finance or Financial Controller.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, FCA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Self-motivated and organized, with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • High level of integrity and honesty.
  • Extensive experience in senior-level accounting and leadership roles.
  • Current knowledge of the hospitality industry.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable to change.
  • Detail-oriented with a meticulous approach to accounting.
  • Proficient in IT and modern accounting software.
  • Advanced Excel skills, particularly in handling large datasets.
  • Familiarity with financial systems would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of service charge management.
  • Customer-focused with a genuine interest in all aspects of our operations.
