Applications are welcomed for the role of Finance Officer at the Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR). This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading department recognised internationally for its rigorous and valuable research.

The position is permanent and full-time.

The Finance Officer is a key role within the DPIR Finance Team which comprises this post and two others reporting to the Finance Manager.

Duties will include processing of transactions (including purchasing, expenses, sales and casual payroll); monitoring and following up on compliance with financial policies and procedures; and monitoring and reporting of some budget areas.

The post of Finance Officer requires a person educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent, numerate, with good attention to detail. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
