About the Company
The company is a well-established business in the finance sector, known for their warm and welcoming team culture. They are located in a central site, easily accessible by public transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out core finance processes, including the calculation of depreciation and interest, preparation of accrued and deferred income and expenses, posting journals, intercompany accounts and reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register.
- Timely customer invoicing and debt collection.
- Prepare month end working papers, liaising with the wider finance team to ensure accurate representation of records.
- Prepare year end working papers, working with external accountants to resolve queries and produce the statutory accounts.
- Assist the Finance Manager with external audits.
- Prepare and file dormant accounts.
- Manage and track customer estimates and supplier purchase orders.
- Assist the Finance Manager with tax reporting and payments.
- Develop finance processes.
- Monitor financial controls.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Prepare and provide Management Reporting to the wider finance team.
- Produce ad-hoc reports to support business projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Part Qualified accountant, or QBE, or qualified with good technical knowledge and experience in a similar role.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, plus excellent attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Self-starter, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commutable distance to the office location.
