Financial Operations Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to support our finance team in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance team, contributing to the smooth operation of our company's financial processes, and supporting professional development within the finance profession.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Transaction Management: Accurately manage financial transactions, including Accounts Payable, credit card entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Support the production of monthly management accounts and prepare detailed cash flow reports.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Credit Management: Review and manage credit terms, open new accounts, and approve financial entries.
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update bookkeeping records, including fixed asset registers, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.
- Experience: Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Additional Skills: Experience in supporting the production of management accounts and handling VAT returns is advantageous. Full UK Driving Licence and ability for ad hoc travel to other sites (daytrips, up to 2 days a month).
