The Bridge Project is seeking a skilled and compassionate Concerned Other Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to individuals affected by someone else's substance misuse, delivering brief interventions, assessing needs and risk, and providing a structured programme of individual support.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality support to concerned others, including brief interventions, needs assessments, and risk management
- Provide a structured programme of individual support, including onward referral and exit planning
- Work effectively with individuals of varying abilities, including those who may be distressed
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external agencies
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2 years' full-time experience of working within social and/or healthcare settings, managing a caseload
- Excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to provide information and practical/emotional support to concerned others
- Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and occasional weekends
- Enhanced DBS check and ability to travel independently
