About the Role

The Bridge Project is seeking a skilled and compassionate Concerned Other Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to individuals affected by someone else's substance misuse, delivering brief interventions, assessing needs and risk, and providing a structured programme of individual support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality support to concerned others, including brief interventions, needs assessments, and risk management
  • Provide a structured programme of individual support, including onward referral and exit planning
  • Work effectively with individuals of varying abilities, including those who may be distressed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external agencies
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years' full-time experience of working within social and/or healthcare settings, managing a caseload
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to provide information and practical/emotional support to concerned others
  • Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and occasional weekends
  • Enhanced DBS check and ability to travel independently
