Data Centre Team Leader

ExcelRedstone is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Centre Team Leader to join our growing team. We are a leading provider of IT infrastructure solutions, committed to delivering exceptional service and support to our clients.

As a Data Centre Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting our client's data centre cabling infrastructure, server and network hardware environment, and physical security controls. Reporting to the Local Data Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and ensuring the smooth operation of our data centres.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a team of four DC Engineers, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Oversee Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) work and Business As Usual (BAU) activities within data centres.
  • Ensure adherence to documented procedures for equipment installation, patching, and testing.
  • Coordinate with remote DC Ops staff to ensure seamless operations across multiple locations.
  • Mentor and train new starters on systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Lead and supervise special projects from design through to handover.
  • Manage 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in asset management systems and ticketing systems.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Data Centre Team Leader or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including cabling, servers, and network equipment.
  • Expert knowledge of asset management systems and ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • COMPTIA Server+ and COMPTIA Network+ certifications are preferred.
