About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gynaecology Consultant to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a key member of our Gynaecology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Gynaecology care to patients, including general Gynaecology clinics, day case and inpatient operating lists, and administrative duties.
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including junior doctors, nurses, and other support staff.
  • Contribute to the development of our Gynaecology services, including service improvement initiatives and clinical governance.
  • Participate in teaching and training of junior staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Actively participate in continuing medical education (CME) and stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree from a recognized medical school.
  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise.
  • Experience in Gynaecology, including general Gynaecology clinics, day case and inpatient operating lists, and administrative duties.
  • Leadership and management experience, including team leadership and service development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
