About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Specialist to join our team at EDF. As a key member of our business support department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of effective risk management processes to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a positive safety and quality culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on industrial safety and quality performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain an audit and compliance evaluation program to ensure adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to line management and departments across the organization.
  • Support the investigation of incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees in health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Represent EDF at industry forums and conferences to promote best practices and share knowledge with peers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive a positive health, safety, and environmental culture across the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum HNC level qualification in a relevant field, such as health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of company integrated management systems and associated standards, specifications, and guidelines.
