Position Overview:

We are seeking an Account Handler to become a vital part of our SME Financial Lines team. This role involves managing the insurance needs of our SME clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service throughout their engagement with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the achievement of client retention goals by delivering outstanding service.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to devise effective renewal strategies and participate in client meetings as required.
  • Conduct market research to identify the most competitive insurance terms available.
  • Present renewal terms to clients and issue documentation in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure timely collection of premiums in alignment with company procedures.
  • Handle all client inquiries professionally, whether via written communication or phone calls, adhering to service standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all relevant information and correspondence using our internal systems.
  • Produce professional documentation utilizing company templates consistently.
  • Process policy adjustments and communicate necessary changes to insurers.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling products from other divisions.
  • Assist other branches and departments as needed.

Required Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive understanding of General Insurance principles and adherence to ethical standards.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with SME or commercial clients is essential.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong technical insurance skills, evaluated through regular assessments.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to process tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient negotiation and broking abilities.
  • Capability to analyze client information and adapt communication to suit individual understanding.
  • Persuasive and influential in client interactions.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs A-C in Mathematics and English.
  • Cert CII is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Acturis is a plus.
