About the Role

Your new company is a large public sector organisation based in the UK, seeking a skilled Procurement/Category Manager to join their growing procurement function. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with plenty of opportunities for learning, development, and progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of key IT/Professional Services categories across the organisation, developing and implementing category strategies to deliver best value contracts and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain robust procurement, regulatory, and audit procedures to ensure an efficient, responsive, and value-generating procurement service.
  • Conduct a range of sourcing activities, including RFQs, formal tenders, and sourcing competitions, to identify and secure best value contracts.
  • Provide strong negotiation and contract management skills to ensure full end-to-end delivery and robust supplier management.
  • Foster effective and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
