Asset Protection and Maintenance Coordinator

Overview

As a key representative for Network Rail, you will engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the safeguarding of our assets and uphold our esteemed reputation within designated timelines.

Role Responsibilities

1. Facilitate communication with local authorities and essential stakeholders, including internal Communications teams, to address and resolve public grievances promptly.

2. Offer safety and technical guidance to stakeholders, ensuring adherence to Network Rail policies and standards.

3. Oversee environmental matters to guarantee compliance with relevant legislation.

4. Manage the recovery of Third Party costs against Network Rail when applicable, while protecting the organization from potential liability claims.

5. Supervise both proactive and reactive measures implemented by the Delivery Unit to achieve optimal customer satisfaction.

6. Conduct a thorough program of quality assessments on work performed.

7. Develop, agree upon, and manage a work plan that aligns with Network Rail Standards and meets stakeholder expectations.

8. Oversee budget expenditures related to contractor resources and personnel as directed.

9. Collaborate with the local Community Relations Manager to manage pre-notification processes regarding works that may impact our neighboring communities.

10. Set and manage expectations of our neighbors to maintain the reputation of Network Rail.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Essential:

- Qualification at HND/HNC level or equivalent experience.

- Comprehensive understanding of corporate policies related to public complaint management.

- Proven track record in managing customer relationships effectively.

- Demonstrated advanced problem-solving capabilities.

- Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organizational skills.

- Proven ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

- In-depth knowledge of Network Rail Standards.

- Familiarity with Statutory Railway Notices, including by-laws.

Desirable:

- Understanding of the operational railway environment.

- Experience with Outside Parties Work.

- Detailed knowledge of functional areas, including maintenance and operations.
