Overview

The Infrastructure Maintenance Protection Coordinator serves as the primary liaison with both internal and external stakeholders to safeguard our assets and uphold our reputation within designated timelines. This role involves managing activities within set resource levels and budgets to meet stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate communication with local authorities and key stakeholders, addressing and resolving public concerns within specified timeframes.
  2. Offer safety and technical guidance to stakeholders to ensure adherence to Network Rail policies and standards.
  3. Oversee environmental matters to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  4. Administer the process of recovering costs from third parties on behalf of Network Rail, while protecting the organization from potential liability claims.
  5. Supervise both proactive and reactive measures taken by the Delivery Unit to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  6. Conduct a thorough program of quality checks on work performed.
  7. Develop, agree upon, and manage a work plan that aligns with Network Rail Standards and meets stakeholder expectations.
  8. Oversee budget expenditures for contractor resources and staff as directed.
  9. Collaborate with the local Community Relations Manager to manage pre-notification processes regarding works that may impact neighboring communities.
  10. Set and manage expectations of our neighbors to uphold the reputation of Network Rail.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Qualified to HND/HNC level or possess equivalent experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate policies related to public complaint management.
  • Demonstrated success in customer relationship management.
  • Exemplary problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of Network Rail Standards.
  • Solid understanding of Statutory Railway Notices, including by-laws.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with the operational railway environment.
  • Experience with Outside Parties Work.
  • In-depth knowledge of functional disciplines, including maintenance and operations.
