About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Care Engineer to join our team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK (TMUK) in Burnaston, Derby. As an Asset Care Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective operation of our mass production facilities with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex problem-solving and resolving issues related to manufacturing machinery
  • Drive continuous improvement projects, such as IoT integration and condition-based monitoring, to enhance equipment performance and maintenance efficiency
  • Support the refurbishment, upgrading, and installation of new machinery
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance activities during planned shutdowns
  • Manage the lifecycle of machine parts, identify obsolete components, and ensure timely procurement and integration of replacement parts
  • Collaborate with other Toyota sites across Europe to share best practices and contribute to ongoing kaizen activities
  • Set and manage the annual maintenance budget
  • Oversee contracts and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex caseloads
  • Understanding of maintenance on various production machinery
  • Proven track record of improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Qualifications in an engineering discipline (2:1 or above)
