Senior Cost Manager

About the Role:
Farrans Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing costs and revenue, ensuring financial accuracy, and upholding high financial standards across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial support to project teams, ensuring optimal financial outcomes through precise financial reporting.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers and clients, driving value and reducing costs.
- Manage subcontractor accounts and negotiate final settlements, ensuring timely payments and contract compliance.
- Monitor project expenses against budgets, analyzing cost overruns and projections to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with clients on commercial matters, including variations and claims, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Identify contractual claim situations and prepare necessary documentation, upholding business compliance with policies.
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, seeking ways to enhance value and reduce costs.

Requirements:
- Prior experience in construction Quantity Surveying on major projects
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience
- Strong grasp of modern construction techniques and contractual conditions
- Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software
