We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commissions of varying sizes, depending on the complexity of the project, typically within the £10m to £50m range.
- Coach junior staff, including allocating roles and responsibilities to ensure effective cost management on all projects.
- Manage the estimating and cost planning stages, including presenting the final cost plan to the client.
- Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, producing the preliminaries, tender analysis, producing the tender report, and compiling the contractual documents.
- Conduct the role of contract administrator, including dealing effectively with post-contract cost variances and the change control processes.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Interface with the client, Project Manager, and other consultants at all project stages.
- Work collaboratively with Turner and Townsend's project management team during project delivery.
- Utilize our full suite of bespoke digital cost management tools and services.
- Implement our Embodied Carbon Calculator, a bespoke carbon accounting tool, to produce carbon footprint reports.
- Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
- Develop and maintain a professional network of peers and potential clients.
- Be involved in extracurricular activities, including external groups, attending networking and CPD events.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
- Ability to successfully manage and prioritize more than one project at a time.
- Developed a market-leading suite of bespoke digital tools to deliver our market-leading cost management services.
- Role development and advancement opportunities.
- Provide opportunities for professional development, including working with industry-leading professionals, RICS Chartership development support, and NEC accreditation.
