About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Transportation team as an Active Travel Officer in Schools. The successful candidate will play a key role in encouraging and embedding active travel within schools and educational settings in Doncaster.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of active travel initiatives in schools to promote health and wellbeing through walking, wheeling, and cycling.
  • Collaborate with schools and educational settings to increase the uptake of active travel and reduce reliance on motorized transport.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with school champions and local authority resources to promote active travel and cycling infrastructure.
  • Design and implement a programme of work to leave a lasting legacy of active travel in schools and educational settings across Doncaster.
  • Provide support to other areas of the Transportation team as required.
