Training Programme Director - Obstetrics and Gynaecology

NHS England is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead the training programme for Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the training programme across the region, ensuring national standards are implemented locally.
  • Work with the Head of School to produce doctors who strive for high-quality patient-centred care and commit to lifelong professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the healthcare workforce has the necessary knowledge, skills, values, and behaviours to deliver accessible and compassionate care.

Requirements:

  • Currently working within the East Midlands area at consultant level or equivalent in the specialty school area.
  • Considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead the training programme to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Working Arrangements:

  • Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend at least 40% of their time working in-person.
