Role Overview
As a Claims Technical Specialist, you will oversee a diverse array of claims within a designated portfolio of commercial clients. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all claims progress efficiently and reach the best possible resolution. Key responsibilities include:
- Promptly notifying relevant insurers of claims, determining applicable coverage, and guiding clients through necessary disclosure or data collection processes.
- Managing claims from First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to settlement, advocating for the client to safeguard their interests throughout the process.
- Offering expert advice, technical insights, and support to clients to ensure the seamless advancement of claims.
- Collaborating with insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders, including internal service teams.
- Maintaining accurate electronic claim files, processing all correspondence and diaries within service level agreements (SLA).
- Attending claims review meetings and preparing claims experience reports as needed.
- Assisting colleagues and internal stakeholders with technical inquiries related to coverage or claim amounts.
- Proven experience in handling Cross Class Insurance Claims, particularly in core areas such as Property, CAR, and Casualty, with some exposure to Product Liability being advantageous. Financial Lines experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Exceptional organizational abilities.
- A proactive approach to mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation capabilities.
