Overview of Your Role & Team
As a Commercial Growth Strategist, you will spearhead demand generation and foster incremental growth for Yankee Candle in the UK and Ireland. Your collaboration with the sales teams of our strategic distribution partners will be crucial in identifying and converting new business prospects.
You will be accountable for meeting sales objectives and overseeing a select group of distribution accounts. Your responsibilities will include comprehending end-user purchasing motivations and executing sales initiatives.
You will join a UK&I sales team comprising eight members, working in close partnership with marketing and supply chain teams.
We are committed to supporting your success and development by providing ongoing feedback and access to online training resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and convert a pipeline of new business end-user opportunities, utilizing our CRM system, Salesforce, and LinkedIn. Proactively identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with new end-user targets within our focus industry sectors. Negotiate terms with end-user accounts to achieve growth objectives and ensure product compliance when necessary. Implement business strategies and coordinate the execution of objectives and work plans in collaboration with the Commercial Director, National Account Managers, Marketing Teams, and other essential internal functions such as Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Logistics. Collect market intelligence and insights to influence new product development and marketing with a focus on end-user needs and sector development. Collaborate globally within the Yankee Candle business unit to drive global end-user sales opportunities within EMEA.Required Qualifications:
Minimum:
University Degree or equivalent B2B industry relevant work experience Proven sales experience and performance in the B2B sector Familiarity with sales technology such as Salesforce, Showpad, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools Full driving licensePreferred Qualifications:
Experience in the facility management supplies industry, or dealing with industrial & manufacturing sectors, or B2B commercial distribution is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build and maintain relationships internally and externally at all levels Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; understanding and implementation of key performance indicators are essential Excellent communication and negotiation skills Results-oriented, with the ability to prioritize workload effectively Self-motivated and adaptableBenefits:
