About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team at Kurt Geiger. As a key member of our Buying Department, you will play a crucial role in developing our seasonal product ranges and supporting the Buyer in making informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Buyer in developing seasonal product ranges, ensuring alignment with customer, market, and trend-focused strategies.
  • Work closely with the Buyer and Merchandise Team to prepare seasonal reviews and strategic seasonal planning.
  • Assist the Buyer in developing customer-focused seasonal collections, maintaining high standards of product quality control.
  • Monitor market movements, competitor activity, and current/future fashion trends to inform product development.
  • Research and propose new product opportunities to optimize brand strength and sales performance.
  • Manage general correspondence with suppliers for sample requests and order information.
  • Support negotiations with the supply base to achieve best price and margin.
  • Take action in-season on repeats, cancellations, and rescheduling of orders.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the development process, maintaining schedules and key deadlines.
  • Communicate product-related changes to Wholesale, Press, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising teams.
  • Manage the Buying Admin Assistant.
Requirements
  • Experienced Assistant Buyer with a passion for fashion and expertise in upcoming trends.
  • Personable, confident, and self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in line managing an Admin Assistant.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
