We are seeking a Senior Heritage Collections Officer to enhance our team at The National Trust.

Work Environment

Reporting to the Property Curator, you will oversee a team of three Collections Officers and volunteers, ensuring effective collections management throughout the estate. Your role will involve redefining significance and developing strategies for preservation and broad dissemination.



Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and executing programming projects and core interpretation, ensuring necessary resources are available for a comprehensive schedule of activities aligned with estate programming.
  • Managing the creation of new inventory records and overseeing legal ownership and provenance initiatives to enhance the diversity of our conservation efforts.
  • Leading by example to foster a culture of outstanding customer service, engaging visitors with our collections and the values of The National Trust.
  • Supervising the daily operations of the house and the presentation of the collection, focusing on visitor engagement and experience.
