Compliance and Training Specialist

Menzies Distribution Limited is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance and Training Specialist to become a vital part of our dynamic team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Working Hours: 14:00 - 22:00 - Hours may vary based on training needs
  • Compensation: £29,287.44

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate training and development initiatives as needed
  • Enhance awareness of Health & Safety protocols across the facility
  • Serve as a resource for specialized knowledge in MHE Training and Health & Safety matters
  • Provide continuous support and training on H&S/MHE for site personnel
  • Maintain an MHE training matrix and organize training and awareness sessions as necessary
  • Lead and assist with MHE audits and inspections
  • Ensure proper assessment of new employees prior to operational duties
  • Create effective training plans aligned with business objectives, delivering workshops to meet organizational needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external regulatory bodies to foster effective working relationships
  • Uphold a safe working environment that adheres to all company H&S policies regarding MHE
  • Monitor performance levels of all MHE operators on site
  • Promote a collaborative working atmosphere by building strong relationships with warehouse, transport, and administrative teams
  • Ensure all MHE defects are documented and follow Menzies defect procedures to resolution
  • Work alongside the site H&S Coordinator to address facility management and maintenance requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid RTITB Certification
  • Knowledge of MHE operations
  • Ability to instruct MHE users effectively
  • Demonstrated skills in people development and training
  • Experience in delivering both individual and group training sessions
  • Capability to teach new skills and qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Training in Accident/Incident investigation
  • Fire Marshall certification
  • Trained in Racking Inspection & Repair
