Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Team Leader to join our Children's Emergency Department team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our young patients and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing, with experience in leading and managing teams. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing patient care, prioritizing tasks, and delegating responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care, including medication administration and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • RSCN/RN Child with current NMC registration.
  • Evidence of further education, training, and ongoing learning.
  • Evidence of Paediatric Immediate Life Support Course.
  • Evidence of Safeguarding Level 3.
  • Evidence of Practice Assessor Course.
  • EPALS or APLS.
Desirable Criteria
  • Triage Competent.
  • Leadership Course.
