Position Overview

As a Duty Manager, your primary responsibility is to collaborate closely with your teams to foster a positive working environment and deliver exceptional customer service.

In addition to showcasing excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills, you will exhibit a genuine enthusiasm for food and service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the kitchen team to create well-balanced and nutritious menus that accommodate various dietary needs and preferences.
  • Oversee and manage the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective practices while upholding quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school administrators, including Bursars and Head Teachers.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and inspire catering staff to achieve high performance.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control measures.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and enhancement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications
  • Proven success as a duty manager or supervisor in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, training, and supporting a team.
  • Financially savvy with strong analytical skills, capable of creating and maintaining budgets while driving commercial performance.
  • Exceptional coaching, delegation, and influencing abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, and creative setting while thriving under pressure.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Meticulous organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Empathetic, clear, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
