Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £26,000 per annum [pro-rata]

Jal Care Services Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Placement and Referral Officer. This position is responsible for managing the administrative function of the referral process, developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships with our Local Authority partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Referral Management: Oversee and process all referrals and requests from Local Authorities, making decisions on the most suitable response based on the service user's needs.
  2. Administrative Tasks: Complete all admin tasks of the referrals procedure including provision of expressions of interest to the placement teams.
  3. Documentation Management: Monitor and chase all assessment documentation and liaise with the assessing social worker to ensure that the assessment is completed within the statutory guidelines.
  4. Relationship Building: Build and maintain professional relationships with social workers and other significant service providers.
  5. Service Matching: Work collaboratively with the Director to carefully match service users with our homes according to their needs.
  6. Problem Solving: Use own initiative to come up with creative solutions and work effectively within a team.
  7. Administrative Skills: Evidence administration skills, ability to follow regulatory policies and processes, and work well within a fast-paced team.
  8. Organizational Knowledge: Understand the organisation's overall development goals.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Experience: Previous proven experience of working with tenders.
  2. Qualifications: Relevant vocational qualification and/or experience of working in health or social care.
  3. Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Local Authorities.
  4. Confidentiality: Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and data protection.
  5. Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  6. Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and be resilient.
  7. Transportation: Car driver.
  8. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
  9. Communication: Good verbal and written communication.
  10. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively.
