As part of our continuing expansion MCRactive is now looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hard-working Physical Activity Referral Officer to join our team.

The role is full time (35 hours per week) however requests for part time hours or job share will be considered.

**Your New Role**

The Physical Activity Referral Officer plays an important role in the commissioned physical activity provision within the organisation. This includes physical activity on referral services (PARS) and emerging opportunities to place physical activity at the heart of the health and well-being agenda in Manchester.

The physical Activity Referral Officer will be responsible for the physical activity referral sessions in various community clinics across Manchester. Working in a clinical setting to offer pre-activity screening for people referred into the service in order to ensure patients are referred to the most appropriate physical activity opportunities for their condition.

The successful Physical Activity Referral Officer will possess a Sports Science or related Degree plus or equivalent level of experience working in a physical activity referral/exercise prescription scheme. You will also possess:

- Qualified to Exercise delivery equivalent to Level 4 REPS with demonstrable and current experience of teaching exercise classes in a community setting.
- BACR Phase IV or equivalent.
- Evidence of continuing personal development.
- Experience of delivering exercise classes in a community setting.
- Experience of working with community groups on health improvement issues.
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural setting.
- Knowledge of the range of exercises and activities suitable for different target groups.

In return for your hard work as our Physical Activity Referral Officer, you will be offered a salary of £28,770 to £33,024 per annum based on full time hours.
