Procurement Department Overview
The Procurement team at Vantage Data Centers plays a crucial role in sourcing essential equipment to support our data centers. This team collaborates with various departments, including Sales, Operations, New Site Development, and Engineering, to ensure the effective procurement and delivery of equipment. Our distinctive approach empowers our technical personnel to lead the procurement process, aligning operational sustainability with cost efficiency.
Position Summary
We are looking for a proactive and self-driven individual to take on the role of Senior Manager, Procurement. In this capacity, you will oversee the procurement of equipment and supply chains for our data centers. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to guarantee the successful delivery of equipment for our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement of mechanical and electrical equipment for data center projects
- Negotiate contracts and finalize agreements with suppliers
- Manage equipment submissions and ensure timely delivery
- Develop and maintain project budgets
- Coordinate equipment delivery with construction schedules
- Serve as a liaison between supply chain partners and internal teams
- Assist engineering and sales teams in addressing client inquiries
- Coordinate the approval and release of equipment
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Support invoicing, cash flow projections, and budget reconciliation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or construction
- Experience in the data center or industrial equipment sector is preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to learn rapidly and manage tasks independently
- Excellent communication abilities
- Willingness to travel up to 5%
Additional Information
- Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 Base + Bonus
