The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Track Construction Engineer to join our growing team in the North West and Central region. This role will play a vital part in the successful delivery of our portfolio of renewals projects, encompassing bridges, stations, drainage, and earthworks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with design teams to ensure designs are efficient, safe, and constructible.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive construction methodologies, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Review and approve detailed construction plans, including work procedures, risk assessments, and inspection plans.
  • Oversee the performance of engineering teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Manage critical rail temperatures and track monitoring, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, such as civil engineers, quantity surveyors, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.

Your Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the design and construction of railway infrastructure, including plain line, switches & crossings, track bed, drainage, and UTXs.
  • Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to work.
