About the Role

We are seeking a proactive engineering manager to coordinate and resolve challenges between interfacing disciplines and specialist contractors. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of NR Standards and experience in the Design and Construction of Plain Line, Switches & Crossings, Track Bed and Formation, Track Drainage and UTXs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regular liaison with designers to ensure designs are efficient and safe to build, install, test, and commission
  • Regular contact with the client to progressively assure designs, including participation in IDC/IDRs
  • Input into the Project Execution Plan to document the planned construction methodologies
  • Approval of detailed construction methodologies produced by the project teams e.g. WPP / TBS / RA's
  • Approval of inspection and test plans / commissioning plans produced by the project teams
  • Review design submissions for quality and completeness
  • Reviewing the construction programmes for completeness and integration with other disciplines
  • Managing engineers to ensure Critical Rail Temperatures and Track Monitoring is recorded and reported.
  • Ensuring Track Handback Engineers complete Form A-G accurately
  • Assist team members CEM / QS / PM as required with engineering input
  • Attend site as required to liaise with Site Managers, Engineers and sub-contractors
  • Managing ESRs and TSRs
