The successful candidate will provide comprehensive holistic assessments of patients with palliative diagnoses, utilizing their clinical expertise to deliver high-quality care while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities- Provide leadership and clinical excellence in palliative and end-of-life care within the Luton community nursing service.
- Work in partnership with other providers to deliver a seamless service across all care settings.
- Develop and deliver specialist education and training to other professionals involved in palliative and end-of-life care in the community setting.
- Act as a role model for palliative and end-of-life care within the organization, demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical leadership to others.
- Review local and national strategies for palliative and end-of-life care and support local implementation of changes.
- Significant and recent clinical knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care.
- Evidence of teaching/training experience.
- Ability to demonstrate good IT skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Currently working in a B6 role or above.
- Experience of multi-professional working.
- Current knowledge of national policies and drivers relevant to specialist palliative and end-of-life care.
