About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Developer to join our team at Absolute Collagen. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving the modernization of our digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager to design and develop scalable software solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ideate and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Design and develop client-side and server-side applications using modern technologies.
  • Develop and maintain modern and secure internal and public APIs.
  • Write clean, documented, and functional code that meets industry standards.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Write technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and onboarding.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software and drive business outcomes.
  • Implement prototype applications, environments, and technical proof of concepts to guide technical strategy and approach.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a full-stack developer, ideally working on D2C products and APIs.
  • Strong development skills coupled with pragmatic thinking.
  • Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and common stacks.
  • Knowledge and experience of industry best practices and tools.
  • Experience developing web-based applications.
  • Experience with the current stack used at Absolute Collagen: Shopify Plus (including Shopify Liquid, Shopify APIs - GraphQL and REST, Shopify Functions, and Shopify Checkout UI Extensions).
  • Experience with Recharge Subscriptions or similar Subscriptions platform.
  • Knowledge of future tech stack: React.JS, Node.JS, TypeScript, Next.JS, Sanity/Contentful, Vercel.
  • Deep familiarity with data tracking governance (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Segment, Server-side tracking set-up, identity stitching).
  • Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with mockup and UI prototyping tools such as Figma.
