About the Role
The Outpatient Patient Service Centre role is a key position within East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, responsible for delivering an efficient and streamlined administrative service to patients and customers. As a member of the Outpatient Service Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Supervisor and leading a team of Senior Administrators and Assistant Administrators in the operational delivery and clinical governance of Outpatient Services.
Main Responsibilities
Key duties of the role include:
- Supporting the Supervisor in the operational delivery of Outpatient Services
- Leading a team of Senior Administrators and Assistant Administrators
- Ensuring accurate staff records and up-to-date mandatory training
- Organising and maintaining effective systems, including paper-based and electronic records
- Typing and preparation of correspondence for team members
About the Team
The Outpatient Service Team is a hard-working and highly motivated team, dedicated to providing excellent patient care. As a key member of the team, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, supporting the continuous development of our improvement and quality standards. You will be responsible for training new staff and supporting them through an intense training programme, ensuring they are equipped to provide a positive and helpful experience for patients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of administrative systems and procedures, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
