About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Barratt Developments. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the week-to-week management of multiple sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the construction process across multiple sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and implement effective site management strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and delivery of projects.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring that all sites are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to site management teams, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their best.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and industry standards, including health and safety, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
