About the Role

Caddick Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to oversee the entire tender process, acting as the main liaison between the bid team and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering winning bids that are competitive and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Tender Process
    • Manage the bid team and ensure timely and budget-compliant submissions
    • Represent the company to clients, design teams, and subcontractors
  • Craft Winning Bids
    • Develop winning strategies and deliver high-quality bids aligned with the company's strategic objectives
    • Plan and oversee all aspects of the bidding process
  • Manage Client Relationships
    • Interact with different business units, processes, and personnel
    • Appoint and manage external consultants as needed to support the bidding process
  • Assess and Manage Risks
    • Take full responsibility for assessing and managing risks and opportunities associated with the tender
    • Ensure comprehensive risk schedules
  • Provide Operational Support
    • Support the business development team and provide operational support during project transitions
    • Engage with all aspects of the business, processes, and personnel to ensure cohesion and alignment
Requirements
  • Experienced professionals with a strong Design or Co-Ordination background within Construction
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract, as well as insurance, bonds, and contract special conditions/amendments
