Role Description:
Bridge Recruitment is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a Head of Bids to join one of our esteemed clients, a leading Soft facilities company delivering high-quality solutions for cleaning, grounds maintenance, and support services within the private and public sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the business approval process, ensuring seamless configuration control of key bid documentation and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain the bid management plan and schedule, collaborating with the bid team and key stakeholders to ensure quality content is produced on time.
- Manage resubmission or clarification activities through to contract award, preparing and training bid members as required.
- Lead cross-functional teams effectively, prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and articulating complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Ensure comprehensive understanding and experience in the management of the Bid Management process, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Excellent organisation and management skills, with previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the housing/public sector.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.
- In-depth knowledge of bidding processes, procurement methodologies, and contract negotiations.
- Strategic, analytical, and methodical thinker, with a mature understanding of market dynamics and client needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, bid management software, and Adobe InDesign.
- Skilled writer and editor, with professional certifications such as APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or similar desirable.
- Ability to travel and manage to a challenging deadline.
