Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they are within budget and that any variances are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and that all necessary risk assessments and method statements are in place.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management and clients, including progress updates, financial reports, and quality assurance reports.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure projects meet the required standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation, including project files, meeting minutes, and correspondence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction project management, preferably with a main contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Project.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS / CSCS certification desirable.
  • NVQ 6 or 7 desirable.
  • Considerate Constructor scheme experience desirable.
