Job Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic pharmacists to join our friendly pharmacy team, currently spread across our 2 acute sites, with a view to expanding into our 3rd site in Goole. This post provides an ideal opportunity for either newly qualified pharmacists looking for their first post in an acute hospital or for existing Band 6 pharmacists looking for experience working at a Band 7 level.

Main Duties of the Job

We are a successful, innovative and forward-thinking department, with patient care at the centre of our decision-making. Our Trust gives medicines management and medicines optimisation high priority. We have invested in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art aseptic unit. The pharmacy department has been successful in outsourcing outpatient dispensing, implementing electronic medicines management for all inpatient wards and rolled out electronic prescribing in our haematology and oncology service.

We're a large organisation with three hospitals located in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole. We also provide community services in North Lincolnshire. Our 6,500 members of staff care for and support a population of more than 400,000 people.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist
