ERM's Sustainability & Climate Solutions (S&CS) function is rapidly expanding its Net Zero Transition Strategy team. We are seeking talented consultants to guide our clients in developing and executing climate strategies, building resilient business models for the net-zero economy.

Your Impact

As a member of the Net Zero Transition Strategy Team, you will:

  • Collaborate with team members across ERM to deliver exceptional client service, including contributing to presentations and workshops.
  • Focus on climate-related transition risk and opportunity assessments. This includes identifying gaps in reporting frameworks, drafting comprehensive risk and opportunity analyses, conducting climate scenario analysis, quantifying financial implications, and preparing disclosures.
  • Support clients in developing and disclosing credible transition plans aligned with regulatory requirements and emerging disclosure standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for sustainable business transformation, engaging directly with clients to guide their journey towards a low-carbon economy.
  • Communicate complex findings effectively, tailoring your approach to diverse audiences and fostering client understanding of climate transition strategies.
  • Contribute to business development activities by assisting senior colleagues in drafting proposals and developing innovative offerings.
  • Share your expertise through thought leadership initiatives, internal newsletters, learning sessions, and other knowledge-sharing platforms.
Your Profile

Successful candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • Climate Change Expertise: A strong understanding of climate change science, its impact on business models and financial performance, and key concepts such as decarbonization and net-zero pathways.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to produce high-quality client deliverables, work independently, and demonstrate critical thinking in ambiguous situations.
  • Regulatory & Financial Acumen: Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks (TCFD, ISSB, CSRD), climate scenario analysis, financial modeling, and the ability to navigate annual reports and climate disclosures.
  • Financial Modeling Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience building financial models, conducting quantitative analysis, and manipulating data.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional communication skills, particularly in translating complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for non-technical audiences through workshops and presentations.
  • Experience working with climate-related risks and opportunities, either through academic study or professional experience.
