Housekeeping Team Member Job Description

YHA London Oxford Street is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team. As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Preparing Bedrooms: Clean and prepare bedrooms between guest departures and arrivals, ensuring a fresh and inviting space for our visitors.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of all shower and toilet areas to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.
  • Keeping Reception and Social Areas Clean: Keep the hostel reception and social areas clean and tidy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
  • Efficient Housekeeping: Efficiently and effectively undertake housekeeping tasks, maintaining consistent cleanliness standards throughout the hostel.
  • Reporting Faults and Damage: Report any faults or damage to a member of the hostel management team, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Sorting and Distributing Linen: Sort and distribute used and unused linen, playing a key role in our guests' comfort.

Requirements:

  • Good Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management is required to meet the demands of this position.
  • Knowledge of YHA's Core Purpose: Knowledge and understanding of YHA's core purpose and experience working in a team are beneficial.
